When will he go to court for a class 2 felony?

My deadbeat brother-in-law burned down his neighbor's shed on 4-16-2010. He hasn't gone to court for it yet, and I'm wondering when he's going to go to court because I'm not on speaking terms with him or his mother. Here's the background info on him:

He's 22 and has a history of retail theft (a year or so ago) as well as blowing up a public port-a-potty when he was 18 or 19. I know the police around here were dying to nab him. He's just a menace. He's killed cats, kittens, dogs, showed his nephews child pornography and God knows what else. He's a sick person and I can't wait for him to be in jail and off the streets. I'm just wondering when he should go to court for it. He has apparently been assigned a public defender, but he confessed to the police. He tried to get a lawyer and they laughed him out of their office. I've provided a link to the story in the paper about it. Thanks in advance.

and even though he may be terrible he is still entitled to free attorney, appointed by the state. part of his first rights hes told upon arrest.
