Can i go to a school in montreal if i got ottawa paper work?

hi im 17 and would like to do my last year of hight school in montreal, canada the school i wanna go to is in laval and its called felix-leclerc near a place called "point" something lol so i was wondering if you can get to go to a school in a hole other province without having to do so manny paper work tranferation **** lol! in my case its ontario to quebec plz help!! i need to go that hight school cuz its my last year and i wanna go somewhere gr8 like that school|||Your family would have to move and resettle in the area of the new school to make you eligible.|||I think you've got your geography a little mixed up. 脡cole Secondaire F茅lix-Leclerc is in the city of Pointe-Claire...that's relatively far away from Laval...it's in what locals call the "West Island," that is, the far western tip of the Island of Montreal, near the airport.

Be aware that the school system in Quebec is different from that in Ontario. In Ontario you go to high school until grade 12, and then you go to university. Well, in Quebec, you only go to high school until grade 11, and then you go to something called C茅gep, which is a sort of intermediate step between high school and university.

If you're planning on moving to Quebec after grade 11, then you'll be going straight into C茅gep.

If you're planning on moving to Quebec after grade 10, then you can do as you wish and transfer to a Quebec high school for your last year before C茅gep. To do this, you'll need to contact the school board responsible for F茅lix Leclerc, the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeois: http://www.csmb.qc.ca/#

There will be a certain degree of legalities to get through. You are 17, so you have the right to move to Quebec and enrol in school on your own, but there are some steps to go through, which may include alerting your old school of your intention to transfer, establishing an address in the local district served by F茅lix-Leclerc, establishing parental permission and/or establishing parental emanicipation, etc...

I'll refer you to a couple of answers I've already given about C茅gep for out-of-province students...see the 2 links below. I only covered English-language schools, but the same basic information applies to French-language schools. There are a lot more French C茅geps than English C茅geps, so I won't list them all here...you can find them all online...
