BTW, there is no "Canadian Immigration Bureau". The organization is known as "Citizenship and Immigration Canada" and they do not use e-mail addresses from Yahoo Canada or millionsoulsaware.org (which is where post.com sends you). This is an obvious fake offer and I hope you have not sent them any personal information.|||Either you are joking or your friends are messing with you.


There are so many things wrong with this letter. It isn't even a good fake.


|||This looks fake just by the e-mail address alone!|||Don't get too excited--this sounds fake and they want your personal info such as birth date and social security number to steal your identity. Don't respond to this. If you got it through the US Mail, you can check with your postmaster to see if they want the paperwork for mail fraud.





I read recently of another person who received a similar request. Marriott doesn't hire this way, they don't need to and they have certain requirements for hiring hotel staff--such as a degree in hotel management or hospitality.


Did you even apply at Marriott? If not, why are they cold-canvassing through the mail? doesn't make sense, this has SCAM all over it. |||This looks fake just by the way it's written.





Any e-mail address to one of the ministries of the Canadian Government ends with gc.ca and not yahoo.ca or post.com.





As well, the Immigration Office does not accept information by e-mail, only hard copies of forms published by them.





Even though Marriott is a big company, hiring is done locally. Look into your message and see if there's a contact name and a city, then call the hotel directly and ask to speak to the person directly, or to the HR department.





Another thing to take into consideration, I doubt the Marriott would willingly break the law and hire an employee that doesn't already have the legal right to work in the country. If they really want someone, they will work directly with that person to get them working visas or landed immigrant status. They will also arrange and pay up front travel costs and let you live at the hotel until you get settled. But before all this administrative work is done, an interview would have been conducted to determine if the person is suitable to work at the hotel.

Mariott does not help with your immigration forms. That is up to you to sort out yourself. Immigration in Canada does NOT have an e-mail. Nor will Marriott employ someone on a tourist visa status as that is not legal!!





This is a pure scam!!! Someone else has already posted here and she contacted the hotel directly to find out it ain't for real.|||Did you get an actual letter through the mail, or was it email? If email, I'd be suspicious that it was from a phisher trolling for personal information. Have your email prgram display the headers of the email from "Marriot." With the IP address, you can track down the country code and see if the email originated in Canada or Nigeria. Unless you originated email communication with Marriot, this is likely a scam.





If you are quoting exactly from the letter, the bad English is another tip off that it is a scam.





You can also find an official Canadian government site and find out exactly what the immagration procedures are.





Unless you are upper management, no hotel will pay for relocation.
